Dr. Gabrielle Griffin
Owner and Founder
PT, DPT, CMTPT, CMPT, CSCS

Dr. Gabrielle Griffin owns GRIT Physical Therapy and Performance. She is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). She specializes in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, and dry needling.

With over 8 years of experience, Dr. Griffin has worked with high school, NCAA, and professional athletes. She understands the challenges athletes face at all levels. She also knows how to help active people stay healthy.

Throughout her career, Dr. Griffin has worked in many important roles:

Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Notre Dame Preparatory Varsity Soccer. She created training programs to improve performance and prevent injuries.

Physical Therapist for Pipeline Soccer Club. She worked with coaches, doctors, and trainers to provide complete care.

Developer and Presenter of ACL Injury Prevention Workshops for lacrosse clubs across the country.

Travel Therapist for professional NFL athletes. She provided rehab and recovery care.

Physical Therapy Consultant for SI-Bone. She trained healthcare professionals on diagnosing and treating sacroiliac joint problems.

Dr. Griffin works with other healthcare providers, coaches, and trainers. She builds strong relationships with her patients. She supports them throughout their athletic careers and beyond.

In her free time, Dr. Griffin enjoys restaurants and live music with her husband and friends. She spends time with family, hikes with her deaf puppy Kurtis, runs, weightlifts, climbs, and plays pick-up soccer.

Dr. Colin Pietryk
Physical Therapist
PT, DPT, CSCS, Cert. DN

Dr. Colin Pietryk developed a strong interest in the human body while attending James Madison University, where he earned his degree in Kinesiology. His passion led him to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University. During his time there, his enthusiasm for strength training and academic excellence inspired him to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Dr. Colin is dedicated to delivering a personalized, comprehensive approach to physical therapy. He integrates a variety of manual therapy techniques and evidence-based modalities to help clients achieve optimal results. His continued pursuit of advanced training includes certifications in myofascial decompression (cupping), spinal manipulation, blood flow restriction, and dry needling (certified in Virginia).

While he enjoys working with a diverse range of clients, Dr. Colin has a special interest in treating athletes—particularly overhead athletes. Ultimately, his favorite clients are those who are motivated and ready to work toward their goals.

A Richmond native, Dr. Colin enjoys exploring new restaurants and breweries in the Scott’s Addition area with friends and family. He also stays active through strength training and shooting hoops.

Dr. Greg Mitro​
Physical Therapist
PT, DPT, OCS, Cert. DN

Born and raised in Henrico, VA, Greg grew up playing baseball, soccer, and basketball—and knows firsthand the challenges of overcoming injuries. He played college baseball at Randolph-Macon, earning All-Conference honors twice and helping his team win two ODAC championships.

Greg went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from VCU in 2016, became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 2019, and is Dry Needling Certified.

Greg loves working with high school and college athletes as well as weekend warriors and active parents who want to stay in the game. He has a special passion for working with golfers, helping them move better and stay pain-free on the course.

When he’s not helping athletes perform at their best, you’ll find him golfing, working out, or spending time with his wife, two kids, and golden doodle—especially at Lake Gaston or the beach.

Dr. Lisa White
Physical Therapist
PT, DPT, Running Gait Analyst

Dr. Lisa White is a Physical Therapist, Run Coach, and Certified Gait Analyst. She grew up in Henrico, VA, where she played softball throughout her youth and college years. She continued both her academic and athletic journey at Shenandoah University, where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018.

Since entering the profession, Dr. Lisa has found her passion in helping athletes—especially runners—stay healthy, strong, and injury-free. She has personally completed two half marathons and three full marathons, including the Boston Marathon in 2025.

Dr. Lisa uses her social media platforms to share expert advice, movement tips, and injury-prevention strategies to help runners from all over the world continue doing what they love.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys walking her two golden retrievers, hiking, training for her next race, and diving into a good book.
