Real Results from Richmond Athletes

Don't take our word for it. Here's what Richmond athletes and active adults are saying about their experience at Grit.

GRIT is absolutely amazing. I cannot recommend GRIT and Dr. Gabby enough. Not only did she help heal my lower back pains completely, but I became stronger than I have ever been. I worked with GRIT and Dr. Gabby during my third pregnancy, and I felt so much better and prepared to take on three young kids. Not only did my back pains go away, but they provided me with the exercises and tools to continue therapy and strength training as I enter my postpartum period. I absolutely adored working with Dr. Gabby and would recommend her practice and team to everyone.
Mallory Coleman
Gabby and her team are amazing! I have seen Gabby for several areas of pain and she has very much helped get me back on track. She takes the time to really listen and understand your concerns. I couldn't recommend her more!
Mary Napier
I went to Grit PT while training for a marathon because I needed help to troubleshoot and address the problems that showed up from the training load, and I wanted a team focused on the goals of their athletes. I found Dr Gabbie Griffin and Dr Lisa White treated not just the problems I came in with that day but gave me a framework to prevent the next set of problems from coming up. It was because of their help that when I finished my marathon this year I felt great, had a smile on my face, and felt strong and accomplished. They not only helped me achieve my goal but enabled me to enjoy that success. I cannot recommend them enough for athletes looking to work harder and smarter.

David Wagner
Fantastic treatment! They zeroed in on everything broken from decades of hard exercise and tough living. Rolled back the clock 10, maybe 15 years! Energetic therapists, well worth a visit!
Myke Reiser
They saved my neck and shoulders! Couldn't recommend more

For your physical therapy needs…GRIT PT is where it's at. Gabby and Colin are fantastic!!!

Gabby is amazing!

GRIT's new Westhampton location is just as good as its ESP location. I've seen Gabby for a routine checkup and Colin during the Noex Fundraiser. Inside Club Noex, you can expect the same levels of service as out at ESP. I highly recommend getting appointments here if you can't make it out to their main office. Don't wait. Go see the GRIT team if you're feeling any sort of pain or need a tune up.
Aaron Stumpf
Gabby with GRIT is the bees knees. I began seeing Gabby in the fall of 2024 for a back/hip issue. She provided multiple tools and therapy options to try and alleviate the pain and discomfort. I started seeing her colleague, Colin, while she was out on maternity leave and couldn't be happier with his work either. At the end of my treatment sessions, it was determined I unfortunately needed surgery. Both Gabby and Colin were wonderful in helping me recover. Couldn't recommend their services enough!!

I want to say thank you to GRIT physical therapy and Dr. Collin for helping with my adductor and back pain. I came in a few weeks ago and was thinking I may have to sit out of some of my games this season, however the pain is getting more tolerable each session! Highly recommend!

Cannot say enough good things about Grit PT! I had the pleasure of working with Colin, who, from day one, made me feel comfortable and heard. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient during our sessions, always taking an extra beat to explain the 'why' behind an exercise. I also loved that they offered other therapy methods like dry needling, which really helped me. Overall, my sessions and interactions with various clinicians at Grit were wonderful and you can tell they truly care and put their patients needs and recovery first.
Kristin Rawls
I LOVED coming to Grit! It really helped my hip that had been hurting off and on for a while finally feel better!!!

Gabby was amazing to work with! I had severe abdominal separation from my second pregnancy and Gabby made sure I was set up with the right program and resources to heal my diastatis recti. I have seen significant progress in 3 months and can now maintain and improve my progress on my own. Gabby and Grit are amazing, all postpartum mamas should see her!!
Jessie Pilot
Dr. Colin was great! I worked with him for a few months with my hamstring and made a complete comeback. The facility is great, and Colin was amazing.

GRIT has helped my college aged son become stronger and more confident. As mom with a son in a different city, I've trusted GRIT. They have shown very professional expertise to challenge him and achieve his strength goals. Thank you, GRIT.

As the third member of my family to use GRIT, I absolutely recommend them! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have put my wife, kid and myself back together. They go above and beyond with follow ups and support. Even after finishing my sessions, they encourage reaching out with any questions or concerns. Their goal is to get you better and keep you there. If you are in need of physical therapy, GRIT is the place.
Lee Wilson
Dr. Gabby is an absolute pro. Extremely knowledgeable. From needling to strengthening muscles that can bring immediate results while rehabbing injuries. I highly recommend GRIT!
Jacob Ruby
After developing medial knee pain, I was referred to Colin by two friends who had previously worked with him for similar running-related injuries and pain. Colin adapted our sessions over my ten week stint to address the evolving issues I had in that time, using a combination of dry needling, cupping, and exercises to reduce pain, rehab, and strength the area. I am now enjoying a return to running and feel well-equipped with exercises and tools that Colin taught me to prevent and manage future issues and fully recommend GRIT to fellow runners!

After my meniscectomy, I genuinely looked forward to my weekly PT sessions at GRIT. Gabby provided exceptional care and always made me feel supported, while knowing exactly how to challenge me enough to keep making progress. The space is awesome, the atmosphere is positive and motivating, and they made the hard work of recovery something I actually enjoyed. I will definitely be recommended them to anyone and everyone!

GRIT PT has been a game changer for me in my fitness. They have kept me feeling good and healthy after all of my little tweaks and injuries. Being able to spend my full hour session with a physical therapist make a huge difference in treatment for the better! On top of that the facility is top notch and it's such a cool and inviting environment . 10 out of 10 recommend.
Trevor Martin
I was treated by Gabby for a nagging shoulder injury that lasted 3 months. Rather than rush directly to some type of treatment, she spent time evaluating my movement and asking questions about what patterns led to injury. Once evaluated, we worked through multiple treatments like cupping, dry needling and soft tissue work, in addition to rehab protocol to help strengthen up my imbalances. I would recommend any athlete to GRIT/Gabby for physical therapy and injury recovery. Additionally this new location is super comvenient, clean and extremely welcoming!
David Foster
Gabby is a pro! Highly recommend GRIT for any athlete.
Jacob Ruby
My physical therapy experience at GRIT following my meniscectomy was outstanding. Gabby provided exceptional care and personalized service, creating a supportive environment that pushed me to regain strength and confidence. She consistently challenged me with the right level of difficulty while keeping me motivated throughout every stage of my recovery. I owe my return to tennis to her!
